Well softball season has come to an end meaning year one at King is also coming to an end. I just have to say that I really loved working with softball this year and this team. They are such a great group of girls with 2 great coaches! I have had so much fun getting to know them and they have welcomed me into their family with open arms. I cant believe that as of spring break we were 12-20 and finished the season 31-26. We went 17-6 in our last 23 games and finished the season as regular season champs in Conference Carolinas! I am so proud of this team and how far they have come this season. They really played their hearts out in the conference tournament but it just wasnt meant to be. Losing a game by one in the 12th inning and losing another by 2 in the 10th inning is really hard and emotional. But I know this team will bounce back so strong and I cant wait to season what next season has in store for them! So thank you for welcoming the new girl into your family with open arms and I am so proud to be your Athletic Trainer!!
I can honestly say I have learned a lot about myself this year! I learned how to handle stress while keeping a smile on my face and that I have way more confidence in what I do then I ever thought I did. I also learned that I really love what I do and working with these athletes and I will not let anyone take that away from me no matter how hard they might try! This year was not easy for me moving from a big city to a small town but I feel like it has helped me grow so much as a person. I am so sad to see my first group of seniors go but so happy with the moments and memories I got with them this year!
Now bring on having a little bit of a life for the next couple of months, free time, relaxation (well somewhat) and just enjoying having my weekends back!!

So last week I finally broke down after about a year of talking about it and looking and bought an iPad Mini. I am so excited about my new toy! I bought it from AT&T because it was cheaper and I got a service plan with it since I travel so much so I can always use it! For the first week I did not have a case for it (because I am picky and couldnt find anything in the store that I liked so had to order it online) and carried it around in the box and even when I used it I left it in the box. I know such a nerd but didnt want to take any chances and mess it up! But Monday my case arrived in the mail and it is now safely in its home! I can say that I am in love and love my new toy! Dont have much uploaded on it yet (still learning and figuring out what to put on it) but love that I can put books on it and movies!! It is def going to be nice having it this summer when I am traveling!! I guess you can say this is my present to myself for getting a job and my Happy 30th Birthday present to myself also :) So if you have any good apps that you think I should download make sure you pass them my way (just know I really only like things that are free) haha

ONE MONTH FROM TODAY I TURN 30!! I cannot believe I turn 30 in one month. Where in the world have my 20's gone? I feel like just yesterday I turned 21 or 25 or even 28 when I started this blog. I feel like my 20's have flown by, even though they really haven't. I wasn't sure if I was ready to leave my 20's behind and enter my 30's but I think I will be in a month. I know that May 6th (the day after I turn 30) will feel no different than May 4th (the last day I am 29) but I think its just the thought of turning 30. When I was 19 about to turn 20 it was exciting because I was leaving my teenage years behind and everyone is always ready to no longer be a teenager when they are 19 plus it puts you one year away from being able to legally drink. But I think turning 30 makes me realize that I am really a grown up now and their is no turning back. My life is not what I expected it to be 10 years ago when I thought about where I would be when I turn 30 but that is okay! So here's to my last month of being 20 and being ready to embrace 30 head on and whatever exciting experiences another decade and being in my 30's brings me!

So if you cant see your best friends all the time the next best thing is snapchat. For those of you that have no idea what I am talking about, its a app that allows you to take a quick pic of yourself or something, give a short message and send it to your friends. The fun this about it is your friends can only look at the pic for 10sec or less and then it disappears forever. I love it because I can send ridiculous pictures of myself to my friends and no one else will ever see it but them!! I do it with the "mean girls" aka 2 of my very best friends like multiple times a day. We love send silly pics of ourselves and what we are doing just to pass the time and act like we are with each other! Sometimes we snap chat more during the day with each other then we text. Like we have full blown conversations through snap chat some days. haha But I love that I can send silly pics of myself to them and they in return send me silly pics and we just have fun with each other! So if you get snapchat and you want to enjoy in my ridiculousness then add me and we can be silly together!!

Hey everyone,
So I have fallen way behind on blogging lately. My life has been so crazy but it is finally settling down just a tiny bit. This past week my basketball season ended. I was very sad to see this season come to an end because I really came to enjoy and love this team! They have made my first year here at King so amazing! I have developed some amazing relationships from this team and I have been able to see some athletes grow as well! I sure am going to miss the seniors from this team!! They deferentially made this year interesting and all have such great personalities. I am not real sure what next year will be like without them!
Now my focus is all on Softball. We just started conference play yesterday. So my season is really just getting really into full swing! This team is so much fun and they have fully embraced me! I cant wait to see how this season plays out! They won the conference tourney last year in their first full season in Conference Carolinas and NCAA and made it to the NCAA regional tourney and I am hoping to make my first trip this year!! Today was the first day it has been real warm this season and i cant wait for it to get better so I can work on my "tan". (those of you that really know me know I dont really tan) haha
Lastly I am 2 months away from saying goodbye to my 20's and hello to my 30's. I cant believe how close it is. I dont feel like I am almost 30 and all of my athletes and students think I am like 24 or 25. (which i know is a good thing that I look way younger than I am) But I am ready to embrace my 30's and whatever God brings me in the next decade of my life!!
So that is a brief update on my life and where I am. I will try my hardest to blog more but my life is pretty boring right. My life consist of work, practice, games, teaching and sleep. I am pretty sure my kitties wish I was around more than I am. But if something interesting happens I will make sure I fill you guys in!

Hey everyone,
So I am so falling behind on my blogging now a days. My life has been so crazy busy at work that I barely have time to breath. I literately get up in the morning, shower and get ready for work. Go to work and I am normally working on average 12 hours days. Come home, give the kitties some attention and go to bed. So I barely have time to think about anything else other than eating. haha So while my life is crazy busy I am doing really good and am happy. I really enjoy my job and love my athletes!
Softball is in full swing and we have already played 4 double headers with another one set for tomorrow. This team is really fun and I know I am going to enjoy traveling with them this season! They are defending conference tourney champs so I am excited to see where this season is going to go!!
Basketball is winding down. We have 4 regular season games left and then conference tourney. I really have bonded with this team this year and I am going to miss these seniors when the season is over with! I am going to really be sad to see this season end. I hope we end it on a high note!
So I am able to blog today because I finally got a day off. So I am cooking and relaxing with the kitties today and just enjoying doing nothing. Well I cant say doing nothing because I spent all morning getting stuff together for my class for this next week. So even though I am off work I am really still working. But that is just the life of an Athletic Trainer/Teacher I guess. haha
So their is a brief update on my life. I will try really hard to blog more but I cant promise. But hey in less than 3 months I will be 30!! Ahhh cant believe my 20's are coming to an end so fast!

I just want to say that I really dislike snow! It is now weekend #3 in a row that it has snowed here in East Tennessee and every time it has started snowing I have been at work. I work 40mins away from where I live so the drive is pretty hard. 3 weekends ago when it snowed about 2 inches in an hour I drove home in the snow for the first time ever. It was the scariest moment of my life I think. The roads were so bad and it took me 2 hours to make my normal 40min drive. Today I got to work at 11:30am and by the time I left at a little after 8 I am pretty sure it had snowed 5+ inches. Good thing this time it was just snow, no ice or anything type of mixture so the drive was easier and the roads were a little better. I sit and wonder to myself why I moved to the mountains when I hate the cold and I hate snow even more! Next weekend is opening weekend for softball and we play at home, so I am going to need the snow to stay away and for the warmer weather to return! So everyone cross your fingers that I get at least some type of nice weather next weekend with NO SNOW!!!
